“In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.” Jesus – John 16:33

Is hope possible without God and the promise of heaven?  Our grandchildren are growing up in a world where God is barely acknowledged and life after death is debunked.  The consequence of this nihilistic, man-centered worldview is, first and foremost, an intense feeling of hopelessness in a ruthless and turbulent world.

When hope is absent, our hearts grow weary and die.  Without a spiritual compass to point us heavenward and to the Cross, we wander about forgetting that genuine hope does not come from trying to make a better life or finding a way to cope with disappointment.  Hope is the outcome of resting in God—not the God I want, but the God who IS—and in His precious promises that He will never leave us or forsake us, and His promise of a heavenly home where all troubles cease.  Our grandchildren must know God’s gift of hope is real and available to them because Christ has guaranteed it.
