Mother and Daddy were living in Iowa and really struggling financially in 1947. Daddy was working for $.50 a day doing very hard work and it just wasn’t enough to feed, house, and clothe a family of six.
Aunt Thelma (Daddy’s sister), Uncle Robert and their only son Joe had moved to Boone, Colorado and Uncle Robert had started an electrical business. Somehow they got wind of the fact that our family was in real trouble

The word says, Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. We believe in the word of God wholeheartedly and trust our Lord without question. We also know as the span of time runs through our hands, our children for a season sometimes sway to the ways of the world.

Everyone knows March means basketball, and lots of it. March Madness is the showcasing of the best of NCAA hoops in this country. Unless you are one of those not into basketball, you will be among those inevitably talking about basketball and rooting for their favorite teams.
