VALENTINE SUGGESTIONS FOR YOUR GRANDCHILDREN

Heart_masthead

Valentines is a wonderful opportunity to send each of your grandchildren a Valentines card with a note expressing your love and you are praying for them. Let them know how special they are to you and Jesus.

God’s Little PrincessGods_Little_Princess

One of our blog readers, a grandmother in Florida sent me an email recently telling me about the Christmas gift she gave her little granddaughter. I thought it would also be a great idea for a Valentine’s gift for a little granddaughter to let her know that she is not only her grandparent’s princess but also God’s princess.

Prayer From a Parent's Heart

Written by Beth Scholes , guest blogger from Power to Change.com

This week I want to share this blog with you, which I think grandparents will find beneficial in praying for their grandchildren. You may want to share this blog with the parents of your grandchildren because they have a tremendous task raising our grandchildren.

As I sit down to write this article I am reminded of the awesome honour of being a parent. God has granted me the privilege of raising three of His special little ones, but with the privilege comes great responsibility and a lot of hard work. VALENTINES IS ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS

Isn’t it exciting to have your precious grandchild come running into youValentiner arms with hugs and kisses? Your six-year-old granddaughter calling to tell you she lost her first tooth and the tooth fairy is coming to her house or your seven-year-old grandson thrilled to tell you how many goals he made in his soccer game. Last Saturday my two youngest granddaughters came over to visit and we enjoyed making cookies together. Just as you enjoy your relationships with your grandchildren, God enjoys your relationship with Him.

This month as we celebrate Valentine’s we are reminded of our relationships, a time when friends express love to each other. However, it can also be a great reminder for us to express our love to our heavenly Father for the privilege of having a personal relationship with Him.

If you are like most grandparents, you tend to worry about your grandchildren’s safety. So many things can happen to them, like injuries, sickness, abduction or etc. As grandparents, we are not only concerned about their physical safety, but also their emotional and spiritual safety.
