Open Eyes For God's Word

Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your law.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and your plans will be successful.
Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

Pray that your grandchildren will open their eyes to see the wonderful truths in God’s Word. When they open their eyes to the principles and guidelines in His Word, and follow them, they will be successful. It may not be easy to obey God’s Word, our manual for living. However, the rewards for obedience are great.

Ask God to adjust their spiritual vision to understand and accept their God-given assignments, to be motivated to pursue them and then to trust God to provide the resources He has already prepared to fulfill those assignments. Then they will find contentment the world cannot provide for them – only God.

Remember that the enemy seeks to distract our grandchildren from pursing their God-given assignments. God’s plan is clearly laid out in His Word, but they must choose to follow His plan wholeheartedly to the end.

God has given us, as their grandparents, an awesome opportunity to partner with Him on their behalf with our prayers.
