Leave a Christmas Living Legacy

Do you have Christmas memories from your childhood? Do you remember the family gatherings, your Christmas tree, Christmas carols, Christmas programs, gifts or etc?  Are your memories happy ones or are they sad?

As I was pondering this question myself, I thought of the beautiful music I enjoyed at Christmas. As a child, I loved participating in the Christmas programs in church and school. When I became a teenager, the all-night Christmas caroling on Christmas Eve in the rural Midwest was always a highlight for me.

My father always read the story of the birth of Jesus from Luke 2 before opening the gifts, reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas before we opened our gifts. My husband and I carried on the tradition and my sons are doing the same.

My young grandchildren enjoy blowing out the candles on the birthday cake for Jesus I have each year.

What kind of Christmas living legacy or godly traditions are you leaving your family?  If you need ideas, God is waiting for you to ask how you may leave a lasting spiritual legacy for your family this Christmas.

In the beautiful Christmas gift book Grandma’s Christmas Legacy, offered on our website, grandma leaves a unique living spiritual legacy for her family. She shares the true meaning of Christmas with “The Testimony of the Tree,” the simple evergreen tree, the most identifiable symbol of Christmas.” It would make great traditional Christmas reading for your family.
