To set is not easy; it takes effort.  It requires an intentional, deliberate choice to set our hearts and minds on Jesus Christ. We may have to make some adjustments and rearrange our lives in order to provide a godly legacy for our grandchildren.

As are grandparents, I think God is telling us to set our hearts and minds on our responsibility of grandparenting.  We can be so busy in our own schedules and lives that we have to make a special effort to spend time with our grandchildren. It also takes a special effort to be intentional and deliberate in praying for our grandchildren. The enemy tries to distract us from being intentional prayer warriors.

Dear Father, thank you for my dear grandchildren.

Adjust my eyes to see them with your eyes

so I will set a special time to deliberately pray for them each day.

Help me to recognize the distractions from the enemy

while planning their spiritual legacy, not only earthly memories. In Jesus Name.
