My Grandmother Is Praying For Me Proverbs 21:3

“To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.”
-Proverbs 21:3

Father, sometimes our hearts deceive us into believing that it is easier to ask forgiveness for a wrong committed than to do what is right in the first place. But this
Proverb tells us that God wants just the opposite!
He loves hearts of obedience. Help my grandchild to know Your Word so well that the choice between
Right and wrong comes easily.

Application: Read Psalm 119:105 together. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path” and discuss how God’s Word can give us direction and clarity for making decisions that will please Him.

This prayer suggestion is used by permission from “My Grandmother is. . . praying for me” by Kathryn March, Pamela Ferris, and Susan Kelton. They are three ordinary grandmothers desiring to pray for the next generation to become men and women of strong character and great faith. They have a verse from the Proverbs, a prayer for the verse and an application for each day of the year. I have found the book an excellent resource for praying from my grandchildren, especially for character development. You may order the book from their website:  www.mygrandmotheris.com.
