Lay Down Your Burdens

A friend and I were discussing how we get discouraged, when praying for the salvation of a loved one and God does not seem to answer.  She said, “I think God allows things to go on and on, so our roots will grow deeper in our relationship with Him. It requires us to lay down our desires, as Jesus told the Father in Mark 14:36, when he said, ‘Not what I will, but what you will.” When we are burdened for our children or grandchildren, God will change either the situation or our heart. Let’s lay our loved ones at the feet of Jesus, trust Him to do His work their lives and look for the results in their lives and ours.

Prayer: Lord, help me to lay my burdens at the foot of the cross. In Jesus’ name. Amen
